YIN YOGA: SUNDAYS AT 4:00PM

How does YIN YOGA differ from other styles of yoga? Each class is 75 minutes, approx 30 minutes of POWER and 40 minutes of YIN. In these classes, not only will you get an amazing Power Yoga workout, but you also get the combined benefit of Yin practice as well. What is Yin? Yin is a method of yoga that slower, more varied and postures that are held for approximately 2 minutes each to penetrate the deep connective tissues and fascia surrounding the joints, targeting the superficial tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin is deeply therapeutic and beneficial, in fact this practice is often used in programs that deal with eating disorders, anxiety or deep pain and trauma. Each class is varied and incorporates power-vinyasa-flow style postures, sun salutations and more.

Targeting the abs, lower back, hips, shoulders and thighs, our POWER FLOW class is 75 minutes of fat burning, cardio, power-vinyasa-flow postures that will help you strengthen your core, improve your flexibility and feel amazing!

WHEN CAN I START? We recommend NEW STUDENTS come to 1-3 Bikram classes before their first Yin or Flow class. Why? While you don’t have to attend a Bikram class before Power Yin or Power Flow class, but we do recommend it. We think it is an easier introduction and transition to exercising in the heat. However, in all of our classes we recommend that you rest when you need to, taking breaks often. As a general rule of thumb, it takes approximately 3 classes to get used to exercising in the heat. Come often to acclimate faster and see quicker results!
